LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Cottonwood Cottage is located in Nevada's oldest town, Genoa. The quaint Western Town of Genoa is rich in history dating all the way back to the mid 1800s with ties to Snowshoe Thompson and the legendary Pony Express. The Town of Genoa is set at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.
The Cottonwood Cottage building has a long history starting out as the chicken coop and hay barn of Stephen Kinsey, an early settler of Genoa. Over the years it has been renovated to be one of the best locations for small or large private events.
Summer ceremonies take place on our grass area while winter weddings can take place inside the building. Summer weddings can accommodate up to 120 people with ceremonies taking place under an arbor with the Sierra Mountains in the background. Receptions follow inside the cottage.
Ceremonies during winter can accommodate up to 80 people in the cottage with a large wood fireplace for warmth. The ceremony takes place in front of the large rock fireplace in the dining area with cocktail style reception to follow.
Cottonwood Cottage specializes in personalized weddings. Bring your dog to be the ring bearer, dance down the aisle, ride up on a motorcycle or in a carriage with horses, you can do it your way!
